Terra Prima
Eighty years ago, humanity discovered that the universe exists in a multiverse state, with thousands of human-inhabited parallel worlds, both similar and different. Soon after, conflict emerged between the major power players: the Terra Alliance aimed to unify the worlds they deemed prepared for first contact, Terra Obscura—a highly technological world ravaged by a solar storm—is a haven for mercenaries who pillage the multiverse, and in recent years, a lone scientist named Carla Luna started a campaign to assimilate human worlds into a hive mind, as a way to prevent humanity from destroying itself.
Amidst this volatile climate, the idealistic scientist Claudia Luna, the self-absorbed collector of emotions Desquicio, and a mysterious madman with several lifetimes of memories scattered inside his head, are drawn into a multiverse-wide conflict where their notions of free will and individuality are challenged as they unravel the layers of truths and lies that hide behind the conflict.
The story of Terra Prima was first inspired by a tabletop RPG game my friends and I created. I've always enjoyed writing and drawing, but around that time, I was very short on free time, so I decided to combine those two interests and draw a comic. To see if I could do it, I created a comic based on the first part of our game; it was difficult and the art wasn't great, but it was understandable enough and, more importantly, I had fun working on it. I have since rewritten the story from its foundation up, trying to keep some bits from our original game whenever possible, but in a way everyone can join in our multiverse adventure.
